In-process implementation of the MCP gateway ports: registrations from a directory of JSON files, tool discovery cached on disk, and tool calls through mc-mcp-proxy with one connection per session. Everything runs in the host JVM — the remote variant (an HTTP client against a standalone gateway server) is a separate module and changes nothing for callers.
