Vigil is a tiny, dependency-free, cross-platform network connectivity monitor for Java. It reports when the host goes online or offline using event-driven native operating-system APIs on Windows, Linux and macOS, and a polling fallback everywhere else (Android, iOS, the BSDs, ...).
